ABOUT DHYANA
Dhyana Dunville’s creative journey began in Virginia, where she worked as a graphic designer and illustrator before moving into the fine arts. Over the years, she explored many forms of visual expression, from painting and mixed media to sculpture—each one reflecting her fascination with light, form, and the unseen energies that shape our world.
Her sculptural works, which she called illuminated vessels, became a signature expression of that exploration. These pieces were featured at the Philadelphia Museum of Art Show in the late 1990s and exhibited in fine art galleries throughout the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area. Many of her works appeared in books and magazines highlighting contemporary artists whose creations bridged art and spirit.
Dhyana’s mixed-media photographic works were later shown in curated exhibitions along the East Coast, revealing her sensitivity to nature’s quiet brilliance and her gift for finding the sacred in everyday beauty.
After a profound spiritual awakening, Dhyana began writing poetry that flowed through her as a form of divine inspiration. These writings became the seeds of her memoir, A Twin Flame Journey: Awakening to Freedom, Wholeness, and the Beloved—a deeply personal story of love, transformation, and the path to inner union.
Since moving to Kaua‘i in 2007, her creative work has expanded to include music. As the lead singer of the Dhyana Quartet from 2015 to 2017, she found new ways to express the harmony between soul and sound. Today, she continues to pursue fine art nature photography, writing, and song as living expressions of her spiritual journey.
Through her art and storytelling, Dhyana invites others to see beauty not only in the world around them but within the unfolding truth of their own hearts.
